Bob Trimble is the proprietor of “The Wine Guy®” Consulting Services where he is utilizing his 30 plus years of experience in the wine and spirits industry to help clients with sales, marketing and wine education.
Starting at the distributor level, Bob quickly learned the benefits to superior wine knowledge, setting Bob apart and leading to great successes selling wine. A few years and a number of fun incentive sales trips to California and Europe eventually lead Bob to the supplier side of the business where he landed a role at infamous Seagram Chateau and Estate Wines Company.
From there he went on to excel in various supplier roles, from sales and marketing to wine education. Highlights included working at the Sterling Vineyards School of Service and Hospitality, as well as being a National Educator for Diageo and the Director of Education-Wine and Champagne, for Pernod-Ricard USA and Bonny Doon Vineyard.
Rounding out his experience Bob also spent a few years learning the retail side of the business, overseeing all the fine wine purchases for the 78 Premium Collection Stores in the state of Pennsylvania, increasing their sales buy 15% in the premium wine category and upping the average dollar wine ring.
Additionally, Bob’s passion lead to a founding board member role of the American Sommelier Association, a Judge at TexSom, as well as the managing director of the Starwine International Wine Competition, utilizing fifty of the world’s top sommeliers as judges.
Now Bob is utilizing all that experience, knowledge and network with his consulting business, working with wineries, trade organizations, distributors as well as wine retailers, consumers and the corporate world.
